How to be me.
Reading Franny’s book has been a revelation!
‘How to be me’ is an easy to follow definitive guide to understanding how your brain has created the fears which are holding you back.
What’s more it shows you how to change your mindset, change your perspectives and move forward with your life, free from the shackles of self-doubt and anxiety.
I am a very positive person, but whenever I’m embarking on a new venture that nagging voice in my mind always fills me with fear and self-doubt.
Why? Because I’m not good enough, or so the voice tells me.
I never understood it – till now!
‘How to be me’ took me on a journey of self – discovery, peeling back the layers, rolling back the years.
I had a happy childhood, abundant with love and support, so that wasn’t the reason.
Then it dawned on me. The cause? Rejections and comparisons.
I chose a career as a vocalist, having grown up in endless tuition as a dancer and a singer. At the age of 17, I had to give up on my dreams of being a dancer and leave dance and drama college due to health problems. (I’ve since been diagnosed with Ehler danlos syndrome.)
Refusing to give up, I became a singer.
By reading Franny’s book I could pinpoint the event that caused the self-doubt to set up camp in my brain.
When I was 20 years old, I went to an audition for a cruise ship entertainments team. They said they’d be in touch – and they were!
“Vocally, we couldn’t fault you BUT at 5 ft 2” you’re too short and at 9 stone you’re overweight. You need to lose at least a stone!”
Ever since then the self-doubt set in. I’d try to ignore it and outwardly no-one would ever know that inside I was scared I wasn’t good enough.
Since reading ‘How to be me’ I’ve finally got rid of that self-doubt. It only took me 24 years! 🙂
I know that I CAN achieve my dreams and goals, and I’m working
on being more in touch with the Universe each day.
Things will happen when they’re meant to happen.
It was pure luck that I met Franny at an inspiration nation event
and in doing so I’ve finally learned ‘How to be me.’
I say ‘luck’ but I believe everything happens for a reason.
I highly recommend Franny’s book to everyone.
It’s a revelation to understand how your brain works and how to make it work for you! To be the best possible version of you.
